The thing about founding an entire borderline-heretical tradition is that at some point you really do have to put the 'demon' in 'Demonic Cultivation.' And despite what the general consensus of the cultivation world might be, Wei WuXian does not count.
But he does drink. Just enough to make midnight cultivation runs seem like a cool and good activity and not enough to end up with any broken bones or anything. Wen Qing won't be laughing when he has a real demon to stash in the blood pool like a pig in a sty. Technically, she wouldn't have been laughing either way, but that's just because he's severely underappreciated. No, this is gonna go great, and if it doesn't, he's already in a graveyard so problem solved, right?
